JUDGING

With our constructive and fair judging process, the Pegasus Awards symbolizes excellence in video production. Each entry is assessed against a set of industry standards and not directly against other entrants. Developed over 5 years, this evaluation system provides an equal chance of winning to all entrants, regardless of size or budget.

Pegasus judges are respected professionals with at least 10 years of experience, and most are previous Pegasus Awards winners. Three Judges (two industry professionals and one end user) review each entry. The “end user” judge is a member of the general public, and assesses the nominees with less technical criteria than that of the two industry judges. He/she grades on overall execution, clarity, presentation, etc., while the “industry professional” judges evaluate technical aspects as well as message and presentation.

The Pegasus Awards is not only an industry competition, but also an opportunity for recognition and professional growth. We were the first competition to provide direct feedback from each judge in an effort to explain how every entry was assessed and why a particular score was given. Each judges’ constructive critique is presented to benefit you and to enhance your craft.
